The Edwin Scharff Museum has been located on Petrusplatz since June 1999. Since then, the special exhibitions have been predominantly devoted to Classic Modernism, but we have also repeatedly addressed topics around contemporary art. In the light of Scharff’s artistic oeuvre, the museum places a special emphasis on sculpture. The special exhibitions complement and extend the work of Edwin Scharff, while at the same time forging a link with today’s cultural scene. Up until our temporary closure in September 2016, we had put on 65 special art exhibitions. Between June 2009 and summer 2016 the museum also presented six children’s exhibitions.
